On Nov. 5, Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center, in partnership with the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, will host the 13th annual Focus on Lung Cancer Virtual Conference. The virtual conference will begin at 7:30 a.m. EDT and focus on both non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer.
The Focus on Lung Cancer Virtual Conference will address both medical and lifestyle issues for people living with lung cancer. Those encouraged to attend include:
The conference aims to discuss the most recent developments in lung cancer treatment, help individuals with lung cancer understand the vocabulary and technical information surrounding the disease, and demonstrate the importance of personal collaboration with health care teams.
The conference agenda includes a range of events designed to address these aims. There will be a talk on how to understand test results and radiology reports, as well as a discussion of advancements in interventional radiology. There will be Q&A panels with oncology experts, and a COVID-19 update for those with lung cancer.
Participants can also attend the conference’s virtual exhibit hall to download resources and speak one-on-one with lung cancer experts.
The conference will feature specialists in oncology, mental health care, and more. Speakers will include physician’s assistants, clinical research nurses, a social worker, a registered dietitian, and other health care experts.
